Equo Floor Lamp brings the counterweight of the Equo without the need for a table. Equo Floor Lamp is easily adjusted with just the touch of a finger. Slide your finger along the stem's touchstrip to control brightness and power. The special neck joint maintains the head's tilt as the arm swings up or down. CUSTOMER BEWARE: Koncept floor lamp no longer work seven months after I purchased at a price of $324.00. I purchased the KONCEPT ELX-A-W-CRM-FLR- 56.75" 6W on September 7, 2017 and tonight, May 22, 2018 the KONCEPT ELX-A-W-CRM FLR lam has stopped working and no longer functions. I have used the KONCEPT ELX-A-W-CRM-FLR in the evenings several times a week for less than one-hundred hours since I purchased it.

I would not recommend the lamp to any customer based on its poor performance over the 8 months I have owned it.

UPDATE: Koncept customer support / warranty are not responding. Emailed them several times, called - no one picking up. Getting transferred to numbers where no one responds. Buyers beware.

The design is the best on the market. It's also very functional with long arm. But within 3mo of use, the touch button became unreliable. Also sometimes, the lamp turns off by itself. I think both issues are related. I will use this till it dies but will not buy another from this manufacturer

Good light, odd light distribution

I bought this lamp with warm light and silver body. It's extremely well built, and the heavy base keeps it sturdy with no wobble (I tested for wobbling by gently pushing the main pole, but it always comes to rest straight almost immediately). I also own the desktop version of this lamp.

I use this lamp next to my bed for reading. One thing I don't like about it is the distribution of the emitted LED light. It's extremely focused and does not disperse in a gradient like a regular incandescent light bulb. Specifically, the edge boundary between light falling on a surface and darkness is sharp, so if you have a book that straddles the border, the part of the book that falls onto the dark side will catch very little light. It's a bit annoying to me since I grew up with light bulbs that would spread light much more smoothly.

The joints rotate well, and the lower hinge (connecting the main pole and middle arm) seems well balanced and sturdy. The on-off switch is a touch-sensitive pad that works well. At the lower settings, I seem to detect the slightest flickering, but I may be imagining things.

The industrial design of the lamp is state-of-the-art; however, I do like the desktop "Z-bar" version more. This floor lamp is not inexpensive, but if you search for LED lamps, you will find much more expensive lamps with even more gorgeous designs.

Overall, it's an ok lamp, but perhaps it's not the best for bed reading.

Failed after 3 years; delayed response to warranty claim

Review after purchase (5 stars):
This lamp is functional and stylish. The orange color is fun and reminds me of an orange from the 1970s design color palette. It is good for reading, the field of illumination is OK for that , but may be too small for other activities. The lamp is pricey though, you pay for the styling, not the technology. Please make it cheaper and I would buy a few more.

Review in July 2017:
Lamp died. I followed instructions on the Koncept company website, made sure all segment were fully inserted and contacts clean, but this didn't help. Contacted Koncept company by email ([email protected]) twice since lamp is in warranty (5 year warranty). NO RESPONSE. Very disappointing experience

September 25
After many more emails and complaints to Amazon I received an RMA and the electronic parts were replaced. Lamp works OK now, fingers crossed.

Lamp is Great and Flexible, Don't like Touch Dimmer

I really like the light and it's great construction. You don't have to tighten or loosen knobs to adjust it is very well balanced and is easily moved and holds it's position on it's own. As you adjust the arm up or down the lamp part mechanically adjusts itself so that it flattens or angles farther depending on the position. Basically you just adjust the height of the lamp and the lamp itself adjusts automatically which is really neat.

The light brightness is also adjustable and comfortable to work with. I work from home usually once a week but many times lately I've worked for a few days at a time with it and it lights up a good area and I haven't had any fatigue or anything with it. It also doesn't throw off much heat which is nice if you are working with it for extended periods.

The only problem I have with it is the light switch itself. It's really a pain to use. I'm not sure if it's just mine or if they are all like this but it doesn't register commands very well. So I'm sitting there fumbling for a bit either trying to turn it on or off. What I do is just set the dimmer where I like it and use a switched outlet for the lamp so overall this isn't a big issue for me, but it is a weakness.

Overall it's a great product and I'd buy it again. It looks really sharp, the construction is great and the ease of adjusting it is nice. The touch thing would be great if it worked but mine is problematic. That really doesn't stop me from enjoying the lamp though it's still a great product overall.

Edit:

Looks like the dimmer issue is a software one. If I'm having trouble with it I can unplug the middle of the cord and plug it in and it works fine. Like every once in a while the processor that controls it has to be reset. Still not optimal so I wouldn't give it the star but at least there's another way around it. I may just try and contact them and see if it's just a issue with my unit or something.
